Women's Issues

Dana Rohrabacher is not supportive of women and family issues.  He is not supportive of a woman’s right to make her own medical health decisions without government interference. He voted against the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act for women (June 2009).  He is against the Affordable Care Act which no longer allows insurance companies to discriminate against women in setting health insurance premiums.

  • He voted NO allowing Military sexual assault victims to decide who determines their case. (June 2013)
  • He voted NO on reauthorizing the Violence Against Women Act (Feb 2013)
  • He voted No the Food and Drug Administration Food Safety Modernization Act (Dec 2010)
  • He voted NO on the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay act for women (June 2009)
  • He voted NO on modifying bankruptcy rules to avoid mortgage foreclosures (March 2009)
  • He voted NO on revitalizing severely distressed public housing. (Jan 2008)
  • He voted NO on adding 2 to 4 million children to SCHIP eligibility. (Oct 2007)
  • He wants full-time work defined at 40 hours, not 30 hours, which would cause many women to lose full-time employment benefits. (April 2014)
